2007 triple clamps on a 2003 frame

busted the front end on my 2003 9r. found a pair of 2007 forks for a good price. i am pretty sure(hopefully you can confirm) the 2007 forks have a larger diameter leg which means it wont fit in 2003 triple clamps. do you know if a 2007 triple clamp set up will work with a 2003 frame? I am most worried about the steering tube being a different length or diameter. thanks in advance.

Just the lower triple and clamp is differnt and they are interchangeable

yep, sounds like you're set. Any of the clamps fit any of the frames, the only difference is the fork diameters with the lower clamp. The top triple clamps are still the same for all years as well, so you only need to replace the bottom.
