Hey what's up,

First time posting but long time reader.
Great site along w/ the badweatherbikers group. Figured out most everything I know (about the 1125r) from here/there/service manual.

I bought a used 1125r a few months ago. about 6K miles on it, great condition, everything's awesome.

I was ready to replace the throttle and idle cables (way too much freeplay, turned out to be a bent throttle body bracket) and I noticed that there was an extra clamp on the forks under the stop rings that I didn't see on other bikes.

Does anyone know what these are? It doesn't look like they serve any normal purpose but maybe to either clamp down on some sort of vertical bar for some reason or attach to a huge steering stabilizer.

Any information is helpful. I'm primarily wondering what these were used for?
They were removed so I could install the throttle assembly correctly and route the cables without them being tweaked by this whatever it is.

Thanks.

Eric

Wow thanks. Awesome catch.

I was confused with this one. It looked like they were designed for some sort of adjustable bars but I didn't see how someone would be able to route all the cables wiring and controls. I didn't know there were actual adjustable bars for this bike. Pretty interesting.

I appreciate the help.

They made decent tie down points though. Other than that it seems pretty involved to use something like that just to get higher bars. I wonder where the rest of the parts went?

Have a great holiday.
