As the title say, can I fit a 2008 swing arm on a 2005 bike
I knew the oil lines are diferent but the arm is the same as the 2006 that uses the same engine as the 2005 so the oil lines are easy to opbtain, I think...
Problem is the suspension coupling and the axis connecting to the engine, is it possible to be done???
Thanks

i bought an 09 swingarm and 06 oil lines for my 05. the swing arm fits fine but the oil lines didn't work, i cut the endes off the oil lines and made my own with rubber fuel/oil hose and high pressure clamps. got about 1500 miles on now without a problem.

heres a pic of mine u can see the red oil lines

You need custom oil lines and as mentioned the susp is the same but if you go to an Ss swing arm then you need to do something for the susp.

My oil lines for my Ss swing arm swap, I used the stock front hard line, but had custom steel braided rears made.

about how long did the swap take? once you had all the parts? I was planning on doing this over the winter, but maybe I can just do it this weekend so I can get used to it before the winter.
