It’s time to give my Buell a new home.
I’m selling a 2009 Buell Lightning XB12Scg in triple black (I’m told it’s a rare color combo). It has just under 2,500 miles on it and has only been serviced by the dealer. The Scg model is great for those of us who are under 6’ tall and I fell like this model is much more nimble at low speeds compared to the full-size model. In addition, this bike as numerous suspension adjustment options, so you can customize it to your weight.
Upgrades:
• Rizoma mirrors
• Buell Pegasus tank (air box) guard
• Drummer SS exhaust custom painted flat black by KD Fab (maker of Drummer SS)
o Mounts to retain the stock exhaust chin spoiler (if desired)
• K&N filter
• Erik Buell Racing ECM (stock, untouched ECM included as well)
• I will include these items if the selling price is near my asking price
o Buell Factory tail bag
o Buell Factory saddle bags
I have all the stock parts and you can revert back to stock in an afternoon. If you choose to re-install the stock exhaust, I have a new torca clamp and exhaust strap that I will include (recommended for a safe install).
This motorcycle is exhilarating to ride as it is nimble and has tons of torque. It tends to attract a few gazes by pedestrians and other drivers. Strangely enough, I tend to get nods from Harley guys and sport bike riders.
Never dropped, never seen a track, always garaged, performance mods only on for about the last 500 miles. Probably the closest you will find to factory condition (in terms of wear and tear).
