I have the drive belt from my 2009 buell xb9sx. I am converting to the SS swing arm and have no need anymore for this drive belt as it will not fit my current setup. Belt was used for roughly ~5k miles. It is in excellent condition with no visible wear. 100 shipped.

Does anybody Know whether the Sportster 122 tooth Belt used on the Tuber models can be used on a 2010 XB12SX. The only difference appears to be that the sportster item has a glossy plastic fine grooved finish on the outer surface as an opposed to the rubberised finish on the Buell belts, presumably due to the tensioner roller. If anybody can advise it would be much appreciated as Buell belts at £270 in the UK are on back order with H-D and I have a new Sportster belt available. Sadly, my Free spirits tensioner Spring failed at 70mph which was goodbye to my 20k Mile belt. If anybody has a low mileage or new belt for sale, please also let me know. Thanks

NO
The 2010 XB CityX drive belt is 1-1/8" width...14 tooth pitch...128 teeth.
Several pre-rubber mounted XL Sportster model drive belts meet these specs but NOT the one you mentioned.

Sorry, I meant to say 128 tooth sportster belt. Just wondered whether the ribbed shiny outer skin of the belt is compatible with the Buell XB Pulley tensioner system ?

Never did like the Free Spirits use of 'free engineering' but I digress, I imagine a not good high pitched whiney noise. You know.... like 34:19.

SPHDonline here in that states has them for $200 In God We Trusts, so way cheaper than 270pounds (thats $335 Americans) but I don't know how shipping shakes out, or if they will. Keep looking farther than your local HD dealer, they're out there.

Should be. The Harley Davidson XR1200 drive belt has the same "ribbed shiny outer skin" that you're describing and uses a belt drive tensioner with exactly the same silica nitride pulley coating as the Buell XB series and completely compatible.
