I posted this under the Lightnings for sale and did not get much response so maybe that was the wrong listing. This is an exceptionally clean and very much factory-like hybrid model that had a lot of money and time in the transition from Lightning to Uly. What you have is an extremely comfortable Lightning or a better handling street -Ulysses with Lightning shocks and forks. Either way, the bike could easily be turned back to lightning or with a little work could be a full Ulysses. IMHO, it is the best of both worlds. Anyway, a great bike, low miles, excellent condition with no abuse. Fresh Mobile 1 V-Twin syn in both engine and transmission. Must see in person to fully appreciate how well these 2 machines integrated into this hybrid - really nice. If you want a Buell 1203, this is about as nice as it gets.

2009 XB12 SS with slightly under 10,000 miles for sale: $4700
Bike has been converted to include a brand new Ulysses seat and rear frame / tail section assembly with "duckbill" back rest.
Mods include:
SS Drummer Exhaust - ceramic coated with chin spoiler brackets
Racing ecm for this exhaust
K&N air filter
Above mentioned Ulysses seat - brand new - last one from Harley Davidson
Ulysses sub-frame and LED tail -light
LED turn signals front and rear
Renthal EVO Adventure "Fat bars : 1 1/4" handlebars with adapter and raisers for more comfortable reach
Knight Design lower pegs
Zero Gravity extended windshield
After market shorty levers
Right side cool air scoop
New front tire installed (less than 200 miles), new rear tire included but rear tire on bike still good
Aprillia mirrors
new gel grips
Most of the original parts will go with the bike so if someone wanted to reconvert to an SS Long you would have just about everything. Includes SS seat, exhaust, handlebars, levers, Cherry Bomb windshield and more.
Bike is in nearly like new condition. I am second owner. Purchased from original owner in 100 % stock condition with about 6000 miles and still original tires, no damage or signs of abuse. Has been garage kept and pampered since I've had it. I'm 65 years old and planned for this to be my final bike but made the mistake of testing a 2018 H2SXSE Kawasaki and feel in love with this stunner so I bought it. Wife says one has to go and so unfortunately the Lightning I'm letting go of.

Price drop to $4300. The addition of the rear Ulysses seat can be reversed easily as this is the same set-up as a stock Ulysses. The Uly tail fits right onto a SS long replacing the SS tail. I have most of the parts to convert it back however, the comfort of the Uly seat and backrest will be hard to sacrifice after it's experienced. Many extra parts included, including stock exhaust. Might try to video a short sound bite on start-up. If bike doesn't sell, might decide to strip it down and part it out over the winter.

This bike is off the market, buyer is coming next Thursday to pick it up. Could not be happier because after a long conversation with the buyer I know this one is going to a great new home. I always like to know a bike I've put so much love and effort into is going to somebody who appreciates that and that I believe will be a perfect fit for it.
