I did extensive research before attempting to change out the oxygen sensor. Most were for fire bolt and lightening models.

I jacked it up ,removed the lower suspension bolt and upper bolt, push the suspension to the side after removing the plastic that covers it .Removed the top left fan bolt and lower one.

I can’t figure out how to remove the top right fan bolt. The bolt is tucked under the frame. Looks impossible to even get a small wrench or socket.

Please help, everything is so compact on this motorcycle.

I don't recall any difficulty when I swapped out my fan. Do you have access to the Buell Service Manual? Page 4-19 show the fasteners.

Just downloaded the service manual. I appreciate the help. The fastener is clearly pointed out. I had so much frustration yesterday.

It is a tedious job and tight working quarters....fan has to be gently pulled rearward and rotated clockwise at the same time to move it thru the opening but easily do-able. If you're planning on swapping out the O2 sensor.....automotive cross-reference active part numbers below. You'll need a dedicated O2 sensor socket to remove it from the head pipe bung.

Yep, it is a PIA. Things go a lot smoother & sometimes faster when I can chill out and work on it, even when it gets frustrating.
