I have been searching through a bunch Of threads and could not find a concrete answer as to wether the white wire disconnect mod works with 09 year models.
I read conflicting statements that said it would and other that said it was only for bikes up to 2007.

If anyone knows please chime in.

The Buell Tuning Guide v2 says that the Noise Abatement function is only included on XB9 models up to 2007. 2008+ models do still have a "white" wire going to the ECM from the VSS, and the ECM parameters for that function are still allocated in 2008+ ECMs, but I am not sure if they are used or not. They may not be. You might send an email to [email protected] and ask.

I emailed tunning guide and this is response.

The physical White Wire Mod takes the speed input from the ECM and hence the speed dependent noise abatement function cannot operate.

The noise abatement function is still operational in (DDFI2 and) DDFI3 ECMs however is more complicated and cutting the wire on the DDFI3 results in no speedo operation.

You can turn the logic off in the configuration byte (look in www.ecmspy.com for you ECM firmware type). It can make a huge difference...

Cheers

Thanks for sharing the reply. I had my suspicions due to the ECM parameters still being present but I hadn't done any tests to confirm. This must be new information since the tuning guide was last updated.

I though you could use ecmspy on 2009, now I'm more confused .
You can use ECMSpy for Mono as well as Tunerpro RT on all model years.
