The season opener in Qatar airs on Speed Channel in a few hours, 3 Eastern.

Anyone else watching?

I sat on the same bike last year at Indy. The thing was way too small for my 6' 190 lb frame.

I'm pretty excited about how well Spies is doing, but it's hard to imagine anyone having a chance against Stoner and Pedrosa with the honda's power and new gearbox.

I'm predicting Stoner, Pedrosa, and Spies on the top. The third place could easily to go Lorenzo, Simoncelli, a number of fast guys, but Stoner and Pedrosa are going to dominate this race.

Stoner rode like it's 2007, if he does that all season he'll be unstoppable.

Yeah I think Stoner is the obvious favorite now, if he wasn't already.

Lorenzo was pretty happy with 2nd place.
If he keeps up that kind of performance he may defend his title against 'crashy' stoner.

I'm pretty interested to see what happens on the tighter track at the next round.

Stoner and Honda kicked some serious ass. I think the MotoGP cards have been shuffled considerably. Spies beat Rossi. Ducati was a disapointment in general with Rossi and Hayden back a bit. Dang, watch out or Honda. I already can't wait for the next race.

I think after a few races the dr. will be back up front

Time will tell. I wouldn't count the doctor out for any amount of money. It's hard to say that he finished back a bit because of being on a new bike when Stoner was new to the Honda and just kicked serious ass. Rossi has some work to do, and so does Hayden. Lorenzo was at the top of his game though, and Pedrosa on a Honda was there too. What a great season this in going to be!

Did you watch the AMA race last week? Geoff May on the Buell did pretty good on his 1125 Buell, especially since the Daytona track wasn't exactly Buell-friendly.

Stoner was on a Honda his rookie MototGP season and as far as I know Rossi has never raced on a Ducati GP bike before today. I guess it doesn't matter because my top three favorite riders are Rossi, Stoner, and Pedrosa. The race is always better when the winner is one of your favorites. No, I didn't get to see the AMA race, my dvr shut off some how. Anyone know when the 1190 will be cleared to race?

I'm planning on being at Infineon for that race.
I heard from one source that Geoff May was going to ride the 1190 after the first race, and then I also heard on TV during a very quick interview with Geoff before the race that the 1190 will be out later in the season, which could be at Infineon. Geoff also said that his fairing on the 1125 was not aerodynamic and slowed him down and that he didn't have much time to prep the bike. Still, he got 12th place on the 2nd race in a large field of riders. Indy is a very fast track.
