My XB is having problems..after I replaced the clutch pack last month my 2nd gear which has always had the problems associated with most XB's specifically shifting from neutral up to 2nd sometimes failing to shift..often with the "clunk" many people talk about. After the new clutch however the false shifts have gotten more common and this weekend after a 200 mile round now its acting in a way I can only describe as the way a car with a bad torque converter behaves. Specifically when shifting up from neutral to 2nd the rpms rise with a "clicking" noise coming from the transmission then it lunges into 2nd.
My current immediate plan is change the primary oil and inspect it for particles and attempting to adjust the cable and clutch and then see if the condition changes.
