so 3 months ago my voltage regulator burned out . and i replaced the battery too the dealer ship didnt have one so i bought one from batteries + and that battery kept loosin charge and now it caused my voltage regulator to burn out. so now im buy a new regulator and a harley battery, what luck.

Have you had the 2 pin connector #77 replaced on the regulator, there is a recall for it, so I've heard. The original design had flat terminals and over time they would loose spring pressure and thus contact. This is the main line back to the Battery. The new terminals are Round and don't suffer from that problem.
That would be a place to start to look for any electrical issues.

My voltage regulator is out also and I was looking for a part number to order another one so I could switch it out. On another note, thanks to whoever posted the Guide on the XB12R. Followed the directions and found the problem in no time.
