98 S1w seeking upgrade to X1 swingarm. Possible? Challenges?

1998 - the last year for the less-than-aesthetic blunt-ended swingarms. So I'm wondering what troubles I'll have lining up a 99-02 swingarm with a 98 S1 frame. Thanks

imo, the tapered nature of the slightly newer swingarm is more appealing
