Ok i couldnt resist taking a little vid of a DIY while i was tinkering with tearing the lightning down...
How to remove your velocity stack!!!!!!
so after using some very high tech (cheapo) adjustable pliers to remove the clamp i simply employed my hands (please excuse the grunting!)

well done cody but i actually prefer 2X4 plate....giant crow-bar...2 gallons of wd-40....then have at it. rchuff prefers to wrap a logging chain around the rubber velocity stack and hoist the entire bike up in the air with fork lift, then shake it till bike dislodges itself from the stack. personally i feel that's a bit over-kill.

Excellent vid!
That's the Kung foo grip in action!
Definitely no moisterizer being used on those hands! Otherwise you would have had to go with the 2x4 or fork lift method.

Only thing the video was missing is proper buell DIY attire. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ACTION PANTS?
In hind sight, maybe the action pants, the kung foo grip, and the grunting would have been a little too much for some viewers.
