remote mount, hard to see on the bike, and should give me plenty of warning.

All my vehicles have been equiped with a Valentine V1, so this will be a bit of a departure from that, but i didnt want to rig a mount where it could be easily seen, or even worse...stolen.

So now for the big question....Anyone got any mounting tips? Im thinking the rear detector will go in my old licence place mount location, and the unit itself will bolt on the some of the longer bolts for the windscreen so I can tuck it as close to the factory guages as possible.

As for the front mount, im still debating on where that can mount and how. I can fab just about anything from plastic or metal, so give me something creative that will be as stealthy of an install as possible.

I mounted my 9500i just two nights ago. I used one of the rear reflector brackets, welded a flat piece stainless on to of it and mounted it where my mirrors mounted before the bar end mirrors. I secured the detector on it using those command strip picture hanging things. Easy on, off to prevent theft. It is not hidden though. They are not illegal in Texas.

Do you have any pics of the install to share? They are only illegal in Virginia and D.C. so no worries there.

Only reason I want it hidden is for potential thiefs, and LEO's that pull me over. Don't want to give them more reason to think im trying to do something illegal. They see detectors and automatically think your a speeder or trying to avoid them. I just like to be aware of my surroundings, and if i have one creep up behind me. Our bikes arn't exactly quiet, and with some of the mods I have done to the bike, I would like to avoid them if I can.

Sorry for the long delay. I live in redneck-ville and I don't think it matters if they see my detector or not. I'm guilty for just being on a "crotch rocket"
