Hi all,
I live in Brisbane Australia and have a 2005 XB9 CityX which i've owned from almost new. The years have sadly taken their toll and she is starting to look kinda sad, so the time has come to take her off the road and restore her to her former glory. I need the help of some people who are more in tune with the world of aftermarket Buell parts than I am.

So can anyone direct me to some good online sources for aftermarket parts? I've done the usual Google search but haven't had much success. Ebay hasn't proved much better. I need a LOT of stuff but I mainly need help with the following;

FRONT END - The headlight assembly has turned brown inside and needs replacing. Coupled with that the clock assembly has perished with exposure to the harsh Australian sun so i'm thinking of scrapping the whole front clock/flyscreen/headlight area and doing something different. I've seen a few Buells on the net with this done and they look great but there are no details of the parts used. Can anyone help with ideas as to what is possible and where I can find the parts? Does anyone have any idea what fairing is used in the image i've attached? Any help on this part would be most helpful.

TAIL END - I would like to junk the whole rear section that holds the license plate and trim it back as far as the tail light. Does anyone make a tail tidy kit???

NUTS, BOLTS, FASTENERS - just about every one is showing sign of corrosion so would love to know if there are any suppliers that do whole kits rather than have to do the tedious task of buying like for like with every single bolt!

That will do for now. I'll have more questions before I'm done for sure but I don't want to push my luck :)

the XB-SX front cowling assembly isn't that difficult to locate. several board members on here including jeff down in maryland and paul up in new york stock alot of used parts and are both knowledgeable as well as very trustworthy to deal with. i would start there first if looking for quality used parts.
there are no "kits" available anywhere to replace your corroded hardware. you will have to replace individually and find a suitable source. the good news is that all the buell fasteners and hardware are standard SAE bits....and all torx and hex head cap bolts. there are very few nuts used on the XB's and the few used are nothing special. SAE hardware should be readily available down in OZ.
