All,
I'm getting ready to finish my Air box delete. But I'm looking at the pictures of other projects and im wondering if I should use one bolt instead of two.
Is there a reason to use two bolts?
If there are two bolts I would think it would cause more air deflect inside?
Thanks
Straw

I think the reason guys use two bolts is simply because they go down through the existing holes that the breather tubes come in from. If you block those off one bolt should be fine.

I had mine on my first bike done with some thin plastic then just used some screws to hold it to the filter then just set it inside with two sided tape on the bottom. This way I could just peel the filter off with no tools, I also use some small plastic and silicone to seal the breather holes on the air box base.

That's the reason I used 2 bolts, I just went through the breather tube holes. I was less worried about 2 bolts deflecting air inside, and more worried about the bolts being so far back on the filter. I was worried there wouldn't be enough pressure on the front to keep air from getting in up there, but it seems to hold perfectly fine. I've seen some people put in a 3rd bolt infront of the velocity stack. If you did that you could use much skinnier bolts and clean up the look a little. I used pretty big bolts and washers to try to hold it down flat. If I was drilling holes I would've just mounted my 2 bolts further forward, but considering the base already had 2 holes in it, I didn't see any reason that I needed to start drilling more.
