So after a little searching and not finding the conclusive info I was looking for I will post the question: I have a 2003 Firebolt and I want to upgrade the air box without just hacking up the one I currently have. What year air box should I order and does anyone have the P/N on hand? Are there certain years that will just mount right up or do some require fabrication etc. Basically I want to upgrade the air box in the easiest possible way without hacking up my current one. Last part, is this even worth it to replace it with an upgraded stock one or should I really just suck it up and go to town with the saw/drill? Thanks.

Your best bet is to get the newer style top that came from the factory with air inlets cut into it. It will just snap right on like your one you have now, I just got mine from American sport bike you can't go wrong it was not to expensive and really for the gain in hp between a open air box and the oem cover I only noticed more noise with the open airbox set up.
