Hello,

Just picked up this:
Buell® Pro-Series Race Air Cleaner for XB Models
29388-02YB

It is not a K&N, although it looks similar.
The element (white colored) seems like a fiberglass weave
(as opposed to K&N's thin foam-type).

My question is:
Am I supposed to apply oil to this Buell filter?
I have a K&N kit (cleaner & oil).
Not sure if I should apply the oil to this Buell part...
Or just drop it in "as is".

Thanks for any help!

there should be a instruction manual in the kit.

normally it should ready for use.

I just got the same filter and the dealer said it is a dry element filter, no oil required. However, the filter is still cleaned the same as a K&N. He did say to use the K&N filter cleaning solution, just don't oil it.

Awesome! Thanks for that info ridendude, much appreciated.

LeFox: no instruction manual, just a clear plastic bag.

Thanks again,
keep rippin fellas

Thanks for posting this info. I've just bought one of these filter, in an end of line sale, which also came with no instructions. Now Buttercup can breath a bit deeper! [up]

I'd love a dry filter!
Seriously! I've been waiting for Amsoil to come out with one of their dry filters for our bikes, maybe this media used is close? Supposed to filter out WAY more than a K&N with the same amount of flow.

Keep us posted please!
