Air Filter & Oil Question

Hello guys,

I just bought an 03 Blast and I noticed that the air filter is not mounted tight to anything but rather just lays inside the plastic case. Is that supposed to be like that?
And also when I was checking the oil, I found the oil level to be very low. Should I add some Oil or should I wait until the oil light comes on.

Don't know anything about blast air filters, but I have to assume is should be tight. As far as the oil, change the oil and put the right amount in. Check is after rides to see if it goes down and go from there.

Do not wait till that light comes on, it is not a level gauge it is a TURN THE ENGINE OFF NOW light.

oh and heres a diagram for the air filter, looks like its just a cone filter held in by the outer shell but I am by no means a blast expert.

Yeah that is what a guy at work suggested also, that the filter might be held in place by the lid/outer shell. because I tried to tighten it but there was nothing to tighten it to. But it seemed to be the right filter in there ( a cone filter).
As far as the oil goes, I'd rather just add a half a quart and see what it does. Because the oil and filter has been changed recently and you can tell by looking at the oil that it is clean.
