Does anyone have both? Can someone give me a review of which is more important? I'm thinking of getting some clear stompgrips, but I can't decide which to buy first.

I've got the ones that ASB sells and am happy with them so far. Gives me traction to lean in the track corners and keeps my airbox cover safe from my jackets zipper. I'd say they're both important if you actually lean off the bike to turn. If not it's more of a cosmetic choice.

i have the snake pattern from asb.raisingicarus pretty much nailed it i would add it greatly reduces the heat on my legs from the tank when riding in hot weather.

I wouldn't say I love mine, but they are nice. I think the thing I notice the most is the added thickness they offer.

They are bout a 1/4" think which if you know your bike will give you a different feel. With that I feel I can get the added grip, they are far from a "sticky" pad. More or less they just help to add friction where the smooth frame wont.

As for getting the tank pads I don't really see the purpose since most of the leg grip is from clinching onto the frame, not pinching the air box cover.

From looking at anrkizm95's pics his grips look like they are mounted really low. I am sure it doesn't really matter but I have mine mounted up into the bend of the frame, this allows for my opposing knee to drive into the bent section of the frame and have the grip pad there for the added grip. I don't use my ankles as much to clinch the frame so I personally wouldn't want to mount the pad lower than what I have it.

Rough estimation on how my opposing knee is when I am going through a turn, obviously the other one is hanging in the wind.

Then on a hard stop, the knees are really into the bend.
