I just moved in with my gf, and she doesn't exactly live in the nicest area. I want to get an alarm system on my bike, I just chain it up right now. I'm looking at the rlink system. Does anybody have this, or what do you have? I want something thats going to have a loud siren when someone else touches it

I have a Datatool System 3 or 21, not sure which. I also have an Abus Detecto RS3 wheel lock. Both are silly loud and the Datatool warns if the bike is being fiddled with (it blips). The Abus is an alarm too.

How much did you spend on that system? So you turn the alarm on when you get off the bike, and if anyone touches it, it goes off?

Scorpio alarm system with pager. Not cheap, but it is nice to sneak up on a thief...

Those are nice, thats what I've been looking at. But it says it only warns you up to a half mile away.

My bike came with the Datatool fitted. The Abus I bought for £50 or so I think.

When I put the key to OFF the alarm will set itself after a few moments. I can set it manually, set it off manually, or override the auto arm so that its in "dick around" mode in case its being MoT'd or worked on. If I poke the bike when the Datatool is set it blips at me. Eventually it will set off if poked too much.

So for instance when the bike is armed, and its stood up the alarm will go off?

Nice alarm Loki, this cyclone looks nice. I may have to look into it. Got a lot of young teens around my area that like to do stupid stuff.

I used a disk lock with built in alarm. A GPS alarm would be your best bet, much better than lojack imo.
