so I got bored and instead of buying a new helmet cuz I like the padding system in mine I decided to take some paint to it after sanding it down the idea came from the pattern the Army ranger guys in my unit do to their kevlar helmets with neting. let me know what you guys think. its not finished yet, I have to put the blue metallic racing stripe in the center and I'm stenciling on some lettering. It's suppose to resemble and net camo pattern but the colors match my bike. Metallic blue and white.

me too wetsanding tonight to get rid of the rough spots then painting the blue one more time and stencils then on to clear coat.

onelogue- yes I sanded with 320 grit til it was a dull finish and then sprayed automotive black primer onto it. then sprayed main color onto it wetsanded once dry with 600 grit just to take any rough spots out and sprayed about 3 layers this way. then after that I sprayed the netting look. then wetsanded again very light. just enough to take rough spots out or balls of paint mixed with dust or anything. then after that the white that fades to blue and again repeat process for first layers of coats and then sprayed the center stripe 4 more times and wetsanded again very lightly. now i'm just cuttin the stencils out and then painting them and then clear coat.
