Years ago, I said I'd get a Buell some day. I even met a guy playing guitar in the Milwaukee airport once, his name was Erik. So today I picked up a very clean '07 XB12R Firebolt. Clean except for the fact that it nearly spews oil from an oil line in the front of the motor, which I'm hoping is a relatively easy fix. I'll begin tackling that tomorrow, but for now I'm going to poke around on the site and see what else I don't know about this bike.
For what it's worth, I've owned a Sportster before, and numerous sportbikes, so the Buell shouldn't be too weird to live with...right?

welcome to the forum... go to buellmods.com and download the service manual if you don't already have it, also read up on the general motorcycle chat forum on info to help post pics, vids and such...lots of info for newbies to Buell's. we'll help as much as we can or direct you toward the solution, poke fun at you and such also. don't be bashful about asking questions about your bike, we've all been there at one point or another. we learn something new here everyday from posting and sharing experiences with these bikes...so ask away

Buell's are not powered by rice:D it's an American V-twin with attitude! Different in every sense that will leave an grin on your face from ear to ear with every twist of the throttle:D

solid bikes.. easy maintnence. Great handling and a ton of tourque. Youll love it. Its all about 0-90 on a 12R.. perfect for street use.

When removing oil
Line dont unscrew the fittings, just pop the little clips, a muffler shop unscrewed mine and stripped the threads on it, just to have the exhaust system they made fall to pieces 2 weeks later.
