The Palmgren family originally from NJ. Larry still owns a home a few blocks from my beach house on the south Jersey cape. Larry and his brother Chuck won many Grand National flat track races thru the 60's and 70's and Larry finished second for the championship once. Both inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame within past few months. Larry won the Indy Mile in 1969 and was a Harley Davidson factory rider for many years. Really a wonderful guy. He's on the right.....a best friend in center....Harley Davidson VP of Customer Affairs and Racing Communications Mike Cortese on left. We all had dinner together the other evening and I took the pic.
