Ok so needed to do something to get my mind off of this day and this is what I came up with. I will get a better clamp and a differant catch can but I was bored..

*Wince* hehhehe, it works though! I'm sure your dad would applaud your ingenuity. Going to insert a drain cock in the bottom?
I modded one out of an billet aluminum flashlight casing and siliconed the connector into a hole I drilled into the top.

Gutted the flashlight body, Drilled a hole in one of the caps and siliconed the connector so the air filter would point straight up and avoid clogging. Filed out power button and grip notch and inserted a piece of Lexan (siliconed) for a peekaboo window so I could see when she needed to be emptied. Someone told me to put a colored LED in there and trick it out, but I think I was already into the area of overkill and that would be like putting xmas lights around your toilet bowl.

Mounting became a problem because I was using hose clamps like you did, but it was too long and bottom came into contact with the chin spoiler. I was thinking bring it out and inch or two but it spoils that signature naked XB sillohuette between the motor and front tire. The bottom piece is welled out and unscrews so I wasn't going to originally use the drain cock on the bottom, but I'm also worried about the vibrations loosening it while I'm riding. Till I figure it out, i'm just running the filter, hose, drain cock (hidden in the chin spoiler). I like it because it's not too wide and doesn't block any airflow to the oil cooler or other parts, but I have to do something about the length.

Not sure guys, just got the bike a few weeks ago.....it may sound silly but what should it look like? Pix?

Yea by looking at that pic I would say she is shot!!!! Where is the best place to get it? Should I look for anythi.g else?

Rubber bushing just to the left of the filter in your picture = front isolator I think. Looks dry and cracked from my tiny smart phone view.

Yea I know where it is just didn't know what it should look like, best place to get one????

Buellsterparts has onefor 20 bucks, supposedly in great Shape. Not sure if theres a difference on years and compatibility. Not sure if its something I would take the chance on buying used without inspecting it first.

Thanks willie, I will def get that before I start riding much this season....any tricks I should know to install?

Be aware. There is a revision that redesigned the bushing in the mount. If you get an older version, it will work fine, but is not as durable as the new one.

Thats the Uly, Comfort Air scoop Hey did you also get the Exhaust shield that comes with THE Ulysses Comfort Kit.The 2010 kit comes with all needed to in stall. And Yes The Front Isolator(motor/engine Mount is in need of replacement.
