So took my bike in to get my new headers and belt put on since I have no tools. **** happens, I'm just glad to be back on the road.

So go to pick up the bike, and they're finishing up my safety inspection. The guy is having trouble putting the rear seat back on, so I tell him I'll get it. He says the cable must be acting up or something.

I go to put the seat back...and the tail plastics shift when I put my hand on it...kinda odd. So I pull on the side where it bolts to the subframe...and the entire plastics come off. There are no bodywork screws holding the tail on. Wonderful.

Mechanic and manager comes over, mechanic claims it came in that way and he never took it off. (Because it'd stay on by itself at 70mph for 20 miles) I tell the manager he has to take it off in order to get to the connectors before he rotated the engine.

Long story short, an hour later and after they have to send a runner to another dealership to pick them up, finally got my screws back.

I've given up hope on there being a good shop on this island.

Then to make my day better, got home to find out my right fork seal is leaking. FML

thats ******, you need to find a place where they go out of their way to get your business. And then they lie about it? I would be pissed as hell. Also on top of that you have a fork seal leak and they didnt check that to make sure it was ok while it was there? damn im sorry, I guess i never realized how lucky I am to actually have a buell friendly dealership. They not only do everything I ask but they tell me how to do have the **** myself.

sorry to hear that and good luck in the good dealer search, it is rough.

What really gets me is back home in PA I had a great dealership to get work done about 20mins from my house. Good prices, always up to ******** while the bike is being done, and 100% behind their service.

Now if the biek comes back without a scratch, missing screw, or some other stupid bit I'm amazed.

Wish I had a garage, it'd be well worth investing in tools at this point.

yea, I have a trust issue with dealers and im cheap and dont like spending money, so having the tools is a must. Id say enless something seriously mechanical is wrong, my bike sees the dealership once every year to two.
