I have been that little kid in the candy shop about the Buell xb9 and will finally have enough to buy a used one in just a few months.

I have sat on a friend's xb9 and it seemed fine, but have not yet ridden one. I am about 6'2 maybe 6'3 on hot days and weigh about 170, somewhat athletic build.

Are there any taller riders who can help me out on this one? Anyone know if the xb9 would be suitable for a taller, 21 year old with a more or less fit frame?

I have been looking at seat risers as well as foot-peg lowering kits that can give about an extra inch of space, if I will need to make some adjustments.

I would really hate to ditch the xb9 as one of my options bcause I love it more than my girlfriend, so please help me out if you can!

I'm 6'2 almost 6'3, and I ride an XB9R. I Love my bike and found it to be more comfortable in the long run than you're typical R6. my buddy who also rides a XB9R got the 1 inch Peg lowering kit(he's a little taller than me) and he loves it too! says there's no better bike for him! hope this helps.

I am 6'5" 230 lbs and had an XB9R... fit fine, I got the lowered pegs just for some added comfort, otherwise fit like a glove.

It'll all depends on your bodies geometry...no two people are going to be the same. If you have had the opportunity to sit on one and it felt good you probably won't have a problem. Personally I wouldn't fit comfortably, I'm only 6'4" but I have a 38" inseam...

6'3" 165 with 36" inseem custom seat and drop pegs on a r would be a good fit
my xb9 is a cityx with a fire bolt tail I put 15 k on it last summer

you 6'3" twigs under 170 make me feel fat :p.

6'3 here and 205ish, my xb12s fits great.

awesome, thanks alot you guys! I was pretty worried about the size issue....i just keep thinking this bike is too good to be true and working out all the kinks hahaa[up][up][up]

I'm 6'6", 240lbs and fit nicely on my '07 stt. The urban assault seat helps tho. I have the Ss seat and don't like it because of the passenger rise.

I have an xb9r and I am 6'0 + 210 on a bad day,my bike was a little cramped until I got the lower pegs and buell pegasus seat, now fits me perfect.:D

I have a xb12r and I'm around 6'3" 215lbs. I don't have a problem at all until I reach about 3 or 4 hours of riding. Then the ole derriere starts to ache a little. I just put some lower pegs on not 2 hours ago, and I hope to pick up a pegasus seat soon to hopefully make that 1000 mile trip with some crusiers. Good luck.

un fortunatly Cali they do not make them anymore. Some times you can find them on ebay or or in the classified section here from time to time but be prepared to pay top dollar for it.

An alternitive to it would probably be the baldwin seat as they can custom make them how ever you want so they could put a little extra matirial in it to make it taller for you if you wanted to go that rought.

I'm 6'2" and 215 and am totally comfortable on a XB12scg, which I had heard wouldn't be good for someone over 6 feet tall. I did pick up the Skyline seat for it which helps, it sits about an inch taller than the stock scg seat, not too sure if it would be the same for the 9 though.

Caligrown, I've seen a few used ones ebay recently. They seem to be selling for about $250-$300.

6'2" 190 34" inseem and i have the 12Ss fits great. i got the long used sat on the regular and it would probably fit just as nice.

6'1" 220lb and i ride and 12 scg, i just put the 2 inch drop pegs on and its fine, i am getting rid of the scg seat too I have a corbin on order, in town it has been great i did feel a bit cramped in the hips after a couple hundred miles though, but im 32 years old too.
