Anyone make money working on the Internet?

Does anyone buy/sell or do something online at all that is a safe way to make a few bucks? I have the summer off pretty much from school and a busted leg, so I do odd jobs but just wondering if anyone makes money sittin on the web all day lol Any tips? Or impossible?

Ebay and PayPal seem to be making a lot of money online.
