Ok guys this is about exhaust....... 2 imperticular. I have been running a drummer SS praticly since I've had my bike and have loved it. I just recently acquired a Jardine rt1 that needed dome work due to ripped out rivet holes. Long story short the Jardine is now 1.5 in shorter, fully repacked and on my bike. To me the Jardine sounds better yet I have not had a chance to ride with it yet because I'm going to use the factory rear mount...... Just with a shorter strap/clamp. The drummer is a quality muffler and twice the weight also. I'm just trying to decide on which one to use and if I should sell the un used can. The drummer needs a repack so the Jardine will stay on for a little while for now. What would you guys do in my shoes?

When I have a decision like this, I ride to a coffee shop about 60 miles away.

Of course, if I can't ride I can't do that.

So, whatever choice lets me ride, right now, to the coffee shop is the one I would go with.

That's the deal......... Right now neither will let me ride....lol.
Jardine is fully packed and on the bike but needs a rear hanger strap. The drummer needs a compleat repack. The last repack I did on the drummer I used some poor packing evidently because the can was completely void of packing and the inner cage was just bouncing around. I have the rear hanger for the Jardine but it needs new rubber strip on it. Plus I'm at a loss as how to remove the stock mount without taking the oil lines off. I have heard of people cutting it but how they do it on the bike Im not sure of.

it depends, Ive heard the jardine can actually take away hp and torque, but it wont be noticed. Its really up to you, whichever one you think sounds better, I cant speak for the drummer, but the jardine has to be packed like once a season I believe. My friend has one and he hasnt repacked it so it pops and backfires alot when he decelerates.

Oil lines are super easy to disconnect so don't cut the hanger. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a stainless steel hose clamp for a eight inch sewer line to use for the rear strap. Find a piece of nylon webbing to us as an insulator and you will be home free. Whole works undetermined ten bucks. Might be interested in the Drummer if you're selling.

Gtp, the hp and torque loss is only on the 1203's on the top end but gatorbuell made a little fix for that.

Freak. I looooove the sound of my RT1 on my 9R but the drummer as no doubt probably looks better but has more of a lumpy (lumplumplumplumplump) sound to it.... its personal opinion man. It's like do i go with the light blue or baby blue? Know what i mean.
