i have an XB12R, and i really wanna do an exhaust mod on it... i've watched a ton of videos about how to make the factory can into a after market one.... but how do i keep the engine light from coming on when i take the exhaust valve out??? anyone had this problem?

Asb sells something that just plugs in and tricks the computer, are you can just disconnect the cable from the servo on top of your airbox and just leave it like that.

or
Buy an EBR ECM that has the valve function programmed out.
or
Re-flash your ECM to eliminate that function.

well, will i get better results by doing BOTH mods? or the same results by doing exhaust and no airbox mod but instead buying the servo eliminator?

You will get Better results with exhaust, intake, and open air box mod, along with a tune, but it's gunna cost you more money obviously.you should do the breather re route to,

to answer your question directly, either:
a) leave the cable in, but disconnected at the muffler end, or
b) remove the cable.

either way, if you leave the servo in it will open and close just as it does now, not do anything because the other end isn't connected to anything, and not throw a code.

or simply disble it with ECMSpy.

these options are free.

No, This is a Breather Re-route. It re-routes your crankcase hoses not to spray blowby gases into your intake.

Intake mod is changes made to your intake cover such as drilling holes/cutting slots or doing an airbox delete. (See below)

oh man! that is super cool! so if i do the airbox mod, i can delete the lower intake tube thing right? and that should get better flow with it open like that correct? i've seen pics where people cut holes in the airbox cover as well, is that relatively the same?
