Battery Replacement!

So cold weather has finally come into Central Florida, and now I find my XB12s almost hesitating to start. Checked the battery and it needs to be replaced. I went to go check them out at the parts store and the counter guy advised me that after replacing the battery, I need to take it in and have the ecu reflashed/reset! Does this sound right? I have replaced batteries on my Vrod and Shadow and have had to do nothing else.

It seems to be a case to case basis here at the shop when we replace them. Sometimes it is needed, others it isnt. Try replacing it and see what happens. My best reccomendation would be to relace it, then take it out and to a reset by riding it between 3500-4500 for 5 mins.
