Well here is what I want to do to my bike before and after using photoshop. Any thoughts or suggestions?

you could post this in your other new topic...;)

but what i would do is:
* other turnlights
* removal upper beltguard
* removal front reflectors
* upper part of taillightframe in silver (keep lower part, extention of undertray, black)
* if not used, removal of passenger pegs & brackets

;)

Am I the only person in love with the hero blue airbox + wheels :X?

Edit: fixxxxxxed

No. My wife would consider the Kick Ash, only the Hero Blue. She loved the blue wheels of 08 but was more willing to take the discount of leftover 07. I absolutey love the 08 Firebolt in white w/Hero Blue.

What do you guys think of this for an XB12Ss:

Hero Blue setup [wheels, air box, windscreen]
Everything thats paint-able / coat-able in matt black.

Btw, would I be able to remove the X off the air box?

I like it, I would have considered if there wasn't already a Hero Blue CityX in the garage. I don't want to have matching bikes.

Btw, would I be able to remove the X off the air box?

Yes it has been done but some sanding/polishing may be necessary to remove adhesive residue. Plus I've seen people pay $50 or more for just the X as it's not available from a dealer.

:D, I'll have pictures up when I get the bike in October !
Thats if they don't have some awesome new color choice, which I highly doubt they will.

I'll keep you guys informed about any info about the '09 models.

Hey Adrian i love the photoshop work you did on your bike. I tried doing that to mine as well but obviously i am not that advanced in photoshop. Anyways was wondering if you could give me advice on how to get a gloss finish on the tank. I want to change all the flat black plastics to a glossy black. Here is what i did...

lokien, i had to wait for my hero blue to come in from out of state. well worth it the color is awsome! black is sweet too.

It is allmost like the new 2009 Dark series.
Like this model a lot and i am planning to buy one before the end of this year. Tax rules in Spain will raise the price 10%!

I consider getting some black wheel stripes on the rims. Black metallic pinstripe wheels would be nicer, but at the moment too expensive to have my other wheels just lying around.
I am further looking to change the colour of the rear shock absorber spring to cherry-bomb red (see my other topic). But I am afraid no paint will hold so I will wait until I get more information.

And of course the XB fafourite mods like;
- indicators,
- cheese grate removal (speed-of colour),
- black bar-end mirrors,
- black Remus exhaust and maybe ceramic coated headers.

In short, I would like a dark bike with just some red, but as little as possible.

I tried playing with changing colour schemes through ACDSee editor. But I also had the same problems with the translucent parts.
Hope somebody can give some hints/answers.

Keep the pictures coming on the progress!
