Have you run the belt before on the bike? if so most times it is best to mark( maybe with an arrow towards the front of bike etc.,for the belt when you remove it because of wear patterns. If you replace the belt with a new one then inspect it especially Aftermarket. Gates makes the belts for Harleys and Buells and don't Mark them due to looks and when new can go on either way (unless specified). Other than that just pop on a new one and off you go. If you ever have to reuse your old belt or pulleys etc., make sure to mark areas due to wear. If you have already installed the belt you should be fine especially if you have good wear patterns.*Jimi
