My belt tensioner can be moved easily by hand and the belt tension is pretty slack. Is there a way of adjusting the belt tensioner or is it because the belt needs replacing. The belt has been on the bike since new and its done 12,500 miles, no stoppies or excessively hard braking, just commuting to and from work.

Thanks in advance

If you think that your belt is loose, check your axle torque. It should be set at 52ft lbs, I believe, but check your service manual to know for sure. The system is preset and shouldn't loosen otherwise. Belts do stretch a little.
