While washing my 07 XB9R, I noticed a small bend on my front rim. nothing major. I had to think about any bad bumps I had taken in the past week and can only think of pothole that I didnt think was that bad. Will Buell warranty this? I wouldnt think it should bend that bad on a normal city pothole? Anyone?

don't know...for all we know you already have 1000000miles on it. [confused]

=> some more info would be nice
milage?
1st tyre set?

5000 miles, cant believe it but still on first set of tires. Front still has 80%, rear at 60% I have never had a set of tires last this long! I am going to be hard pressed to not buy Diablos again if they last this long! Even with 70% commutte 30% twisties and no chicken strip! :p

All my sources on the inside are telling me it is not a warranty item. If you purchased some sort of warranty from your local dealer the involves road hazard warranty, then you could get it taken care of.

I'm with BuellPartsGuy. When I bought my XB12Ss, they said in order to be covered for rims and flats, I needed to purchase the extended warrenty. On a more positive note, I can't see it being overly costly getting a bend like that fixxed or even buying a new one...rims are around $300-$500, prolly cheaper on ebay!

ok...so rims are a little more than I thought, BUT not to bash the store on this site, I think you can get them cheaper at your local Buell dealer or on Ebay!

I don't think they will try to repair your rim. I just had my rear tire replaced and the service dude said the same thing to me about the road hazard warranty. They don't seem to like to repair anything they can just replace. I would say thats maybe better anyway. On the upside, there is a new guy in the service department at the dealer I use. He is the new generation HD employee. I was amazed. What he told me when I dropped off the bike was exactly what happened. He even shopped around and got the tire next day. $300.00 And I don't even mind. Thats $195.00 for the tire and $100.00 for the labor and adjusting my TPS.
