So I'm looking at a 09 1125cr and I'm curious about how difficult it is to get parts for these bikes. I was talking with a guy that runs the parts department at HD and said parts will hard to come by unless I was looking at a newer bike. So I see EBR has some parts for these things, but it's it really a big deal?

Thanks

Not a whole lot of consumables on the 1125.
But with a 09 plan on replacing the charging rotor with a upgraded one unless someone has already done it. Its a good idea to replace the stator and rectifier at the same time. Clutch weep is pretty typical too so plan on replacing that as well.

Yea, I read through the forum and saw that these issues are common and asked the seller if these have been dealt with yet. Just wasn't sure about difficulty of locating 1125cr specific parts. Well the guy I'm talking with is slow to respond to my emails, hoping he calls me soon so I can make the trip to pick the bike up. It's about an 8 hour drive and I've always wanted a buell since I was in college so I'm excited and ready to make this happen.

I have a 09 1125cr and the charging system was replaced before I bought the bike. The bike didn't have clutch weep but I went ahead and replaced the clutch actuator with the one from EBR (only $100 and it's fixed and better than OEM). As far as parts go parts they aren't that hard to get but the problem is that you have to wait 2-3 weeks if you get them from H-D. I have gotten alot of my parts from americansportbike.com (they usually order them from H-D but sometimes they have parts in stock).

If the bike looks like it's been taken care of then don't be afraid to buy it.
