You do need a ramp to get the bike on top of the box. I have a ramp anyways to load the bike on the trailer. You do also need stands to get the tires off the bike when it's on the box, the same as you would with the Harbor Freight lift. Just saves my back from laying in the floor changing oil, tracing wires, etc etc
On problem, the ratbike is to low to make it up the ramp and onto the box.
