In wisconsin I think the law is 45 seconds, I wait 3 seconds then go if i don't see a cop to be honest, my bike will NEVER trip it

Yep here in Wisconsin its legal. I've done it a few times myself but it all occasions i didn't see any cars nearby. I don't think i would do it if other cars were by or if I was in the vicinity of an officer.

Sounds very nice. I'm glad to be in the city now where all the lights are timed and I don't have to deal with it when I'm around home, but sometimes when I get out of town I still get stuck at them. If I get stuck and no one's around I just run it without question. If I have to get a ticket and go to court to have a judge explain to me why I need to sit at a redlight for 30 minutes because they department failed to take into consideration a good fraction of the people who are actually using the road, then that's what I'll do. Worst case scenario I just make a right turn, then pull a u-turn, and another right turn and I'm on my way.

ive read to stop on the edge of the loop and not in the middle. it has worked for me at every light except for one.

I always pull up over the line in the road. i figure if it's magnetic I'll have good luck with my exhaust on the bottom of the bike
