Hey guys. Been planning on painting my xb9 but I am kinda split and wanted some opinions. I for sure want to paint the plastics gloss black. My original plan was to paint the frame black, like the xb12's. I know its a really big project, so I will probably just stick to the plastics this year, but I started thinking, would it look better with the silver frame? I would probably paint the wheels black as well and keep the polished lips. And my engine covers are polished so its hard to find a picture that would represent it well.

So basically just looking for opinions. Feel free to share pics of yours too. I just dont want to go through all the work to paint the frame and have it look worse lol.

Black out the bike...leave the wheels...but I'd look to trade someone for the black plastics...yours look to nice to paint over...just my opinion...Think someone on here just posted a pic of something close to blacked out with silver wheels

Find someone with photoshop and make renderings of what you want to do before ever painting anything. That would give you a better idea of what it will look like or use google images to find the color combo that works for you.

here's something else to look at here

I don't know if they are or paint, but that has been around for some time now. Neat to see how the colors were used, wish it was done with all the different color wheels available though. Good for ideas on paint schemes one may have in mind.

kinda dig the colour of your bike, I would swap or buy some black plastic as yours looks pretty A1 hard to find blue now. 02c

Maybe I'll look into trading plastics. Just not a big fan of blue. But I don't want any voodoo on me for painting them like you say lol. Thanks for the input so far guys

I'd be willing to trade my plastics for your blue plastics. I have ASB carbon front fender, headlight pieces, and chin faring. The plastics are red and would be a great set to paint, they're not hashed up but have some fading.
