Hey guys last night was the first nice day in a while to ride so while i was riding my 04 blast down the expressway it started losing power and slowing down despite ho much throttle was on it. It was only about 17-18 miles after filling up from an empty tank when i did this. The only thing i can tell is that after it died i noticed some smoke coming from around the head area but no lights on the cluster. Also it just cranks and doesn't fire, checked the carb boot and its fine couldn't check the plug or wire any thoughts on what happened because im stuck with whats going on with it

I had the same thing happen to mine for a while before I figured it out. The airflow tube to the top of the gas tank was pinched. In high revs the engine sucked the fuel out faster than the air could get in, chocking the motor or gas. Unbolt the left side peg arm(the gear side) and there should be 3 hoses. 2 of these will be plugged, that's your tranny flush line and the other your oil flush line. The third should be smaller and open.

If that doesn't work im not sure what it is. After fixing that on my '03 Blast I rode 20 miles at 85-90mph and when I finally stopped at the end of the off ramp it just died. I suspect overheating as it started right up after a 10 rest. Good luck and I hope that solves it bro.

If Cali - could be canister as well. Not overheated - either safeties, low float, or ignition.
