blast versions

Hey everybody,

Not new to bikes but new to Buells. I'm looking into getting a Blast for my wife and I come across some with a "P3" designation tacked onto the end of the name. What is this?

I don't really know for sure. But out of my experience I've always seen it tagged on the older models. I don't know if it really means anything.

I'm sure someone on here knows, though.

P3 is the chassis design. All blasts are p3's, all 03 and newer lighting's and firebolt's are xb's. Uly's are xt. ect.

Correct - now the project bike name for the Blast was Thor! Somebody collected that original, and here is a picture of it in their collection:
