Bleeding Brakes ?

So im kinda new here but a while ago i decide it would be sweet to turn my 03 9R into a mutant, well i was actually talked into it. Needless to say they guy ripped my bike apart then told me that i need all different parts to make this bike. im now in a law suit with him yada yada..... So i went picked up all the peices and put the bike back together long ass process!! im down to bleed brakes the question i have is, does the bike have to be running in order to gain pressure in the line since they are hydrolic brakes?

i don't have a bleeder on the handle so basically skip that step and bleed from the caliper then?

Yes... If you have a NAPA store anywhere around ya they sell a brake bleeder valve that speeds the process up A LOT...

thanks for the help everyone i did go get a bleeder bag and it worked great, now i just got to get it started and i will be on the road
