Ok I am atleast 20 years back in time with technolegy not retarded like the guy in radio shack looked at me when he asked if my gps had blue tooth so I could buy a ear peice to hear my new garmen gps!
what is blue tooth? does the helmet it is already installed in ready to go or do I have to activate it or pay? how does it work with my gps and cell phone and will it? does it have a radio? how can I use it as a intercom?[confused]

I have a bluetooth helmet. Bluetooth is a "personal space" wireless technology that allows bluetooth enabled devices to communicate with eachother within a roughly 50ft range. So, you can connect your helmet to your phone and listen to music, take calls, hear GPS verbal commands, etc. It also allows you to connect with other bluetooth enabled intercom systems so you have voice coms for touring.

I use mine to listen to music from my phone. I only have one speaker and it's in my left ear. It's not that loud, but loud enough to hear. I like it, it's not distracting and helps take the monotony out of the morning commute.

I haven't used it for intercom use, but I've taken a call with it a couple of times (which sucks). I couldn't hear anything they were saying because the wind noise was just too loud. A couple of times my wife has called and heard the wind noise and just hung up because she knew I couldn't hear her. If I can, I'll pull over to take the call (I'm on call alot, so I kinda have to try to take the call). I'd consider the call feature somewhat useless for most riders though.

ok, so its just a transmitter. how do you program it to you phone or gps and not everone elses.. thanks.
