BPG! exhaust question...

hey BPG was talking to russ out at donahues here in st. cloud and he said i could get away with a drummer on my 04 12R without doing the ecm as long as i diddnt do a filter either.... would i be alright with a jardine and no ecm or filter change as well?

there are tons of threads with that same question and i don't think you'd like to repeat the same answer over and over again.

We have a customer with a Jardine on a stock XB12R here at the store. He is in the process of buying ECM Spy right now.

Get away with it, sure. People have done worse....lol It will just run hot, lean, backfire on decel, and hiccup through the throttle body more often. Short term damage, probably not. Long term damage, could be more likely as time goes on.

Is it the proper way of doing it? Absolutely not.

thanks BPG... thats exactly what i was wondering... was thinking of getting the can and then ecm a week or 2 later but i have the problem om no trans in the truck at the moment haha lost 2nd in it for some reason so i have another one to slap up in there this week when i get soem time but till then is buell rain shine sleet or snow haha
