Since I live only 45 minutes from the track I spent some time this year at Daytona. Flat tracks and the road racing were great. On Saturday we went into the pits and got to spend some time with Mr. Buell hisself. Very pleasant guy considering all the business he was trying to accomplish. We discussed his latest "adventure" as a consultant of Honda of India. Very enlighting. Hope some of the big India dollars find their way to East Troy! Just as we were about to leave him(hey, there were beers in the cooler waiting for us!)they wheeled out the new 1190 in CARBON FIBER! I had pre-mature ejaculation right there! If you have not seen it in person yet you will want to. Sorry the racing Buells did not have better results but they were out battling with the best of them. It was a great year at Daytona!

Give the EBR bikes time - Eslick is on a steep learning curve, getting familiar with the bike, greater horsepower and trying to make the thing grip. If anybody can master the 1190RS, he can. He's a stellar rider. I don't think it will be long before we're seeing Top 5 finishes, or better. Geoff May is no slouch either.

Sorry no pics, we forgot the camera. Not putting the Buell team down, I was screaming the loudest for Danny and Geoff! I did yell a few times for the KTM bike also. When I looked at some of the riders in the pits(19 years old)I can actually say I have socks older than they are! And the lovely pit girls never get old.

That guy pascharella who won the 200, is only 17!! Frikin nuts. No substitute for experience though, look at josh Hayes, 36 and going for a threepeat

On the buell subject though, most people don't realize how short of time eslick had to get ready. That bike is waaaaaaaaaaaay more powerful than the 1125 he rode in 2009. And it can't do the same **** in the corners that his 600 would do. He will come around, just takes time. Geoff has had more time to test and tune and now its showing, with a 6th finish. That's pretty respectable.

Fillmore on the ktm is kindof the same way. He is last years xr1200 champ. Got to figure his bike out, takes time. Got the HP to do it. Just takes time.
