Just wanted to give a shout out to my local Harley dealership - Paradise Harley in Tigard, OR - for putting together a Buell clinic last Saturday. About a dozen Buell riders showed up and there were three dealer employees giving advice about maintenance. They gave out some copies of tech bulletins describing common ground issues along with some HD swag. Also, they reiterated their support of the Buell community and said that they plan to continue looking for sources of parts (even non-HD parts if necessary) and providing other support like tuning. Granted, they were also selling extended warranties (yes, they are still available)...but, can't blame them for that.

From what I can tell, this kind of support from any HD dealers is exceedingly rare...so, it was great to see!

You can see some pics on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ParadiseHarleyDavidson/

Guess we grew up right up across the bridge from each other, Cooter! I grew up in Sellwood.

Yeah...I don't know how long they'll be able to realistically keep up the support. Hopefully, there are enough Buell faithful in the area to make it worth their while.

submax, nice to see you have some good local support! I don't even like taking my big v-twins to my local HD dealer.

I sent them a message of appreciation for treating Buell owners right. Next project I have where I need to order dealer parts, I'm going to send them my business. Gotta support those that support you.

Thanks! Hopefully that kind of response will help to keep them supporting Buells. I totally agree with you about supporting those that support you. That said, I don't know how their prices stack up against places like Surdyke and New Castle. But, I plan to support them as well...as long as the prices aren't too out of line.
