Whats the difference between that and an x1 other than paint n stuff? Mechanically they look identical. Gorgeous bike my friend,simply beautiful...

Forks are different and I think the sprockets have a different tooth count. The tube frames pretty much have the same motor and frame they played with different tooth counts depending on model s1,m2,s3,x1. they also added a frame brace to the front part of the frame in 99. The foot peg position is different between models too. They also changed the frame on the exhaust side when they went to FI in 99 carbed bikes the header at the rear cyl went over the frame the FI bikes went under the frame.

I've been looking for that air cleaner to replace the breadbox. Do you have a link you can share for that? Is it out of the box or did you need to customize it? Thanks!

That the Buell Race air cleaner assembly. Sometimes refer to as a "ham can" or "spam can". No longer made but you can get the reproductions from ASB of NHRS.
