Buell Maintenance Question: 5,000 Mile Check

Hello,
I was just wondering what all the 5k maintenance entails. I do know that it checks clearances, tensions, and fluids, but how much does it typically cost to do? I am in a situation where if i buy a bike, I won't have too much left over. I don;t want to spend money on a bike that I cannot afford to use. Thank you,

you might want to learn to do your own maintenance, as most dealers and shops charge $99 per hour for labor plus parts cost.

hence the the nick name stealerships !!!



there is a few threads here where people have have a oil change new battery and checks done and cost about $400. so it you are mechanically inclined at all do it your self or learn and save your money for the mods. check out the DIY videos by Dave.

but I would have to really say that the buell xb is pretty maintenance free bike mostly and the regular maintence items are very easy to do yourself and cheap if you do them yourself too see here
