Buell Top Speed :-)

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

My xb9 did 11.9 in the 1/4 mile
I have no issue with this, I did it on my 9R back in 2004 at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix. 11:94, it was a great launch and run, the other two runs were almost a second slower.

You kind of have to expect the shit talk... this is the internet :) From the info you have given us, it's impossible to go 160. No one on any of the buell forums have ever gotten there xb to reach that kind of top speed. So when you claim to be cruising with your buddies at 160 its really hard to believe.

To stop the shit talk, post up your specs when you post your vid. Otherwise no one will ever believe you. It's ridiculous for you to expect anything else from us.

Great point here. Think about it, if four or five of us were sitting at a bar and one of us made a similar claim and the group asked "What did you do to get those results?" And the claimant said "I'm not telling you" and then when asked to prove it, and the claimant couldn't or wouldn't. What would you think or say?

See that's not what I'm doing. I'm making a vid
Cool, I'll be one of the first to say "Congratulations", then of course my next statement will be "How'd you do it?":D Of course it's your prerogative to disclose those details. I for one would hope so. Everyone wants more from their bike, and if we have info we can say, yes or no to the cost/benefit.

yep, This would be great news for guys that race their xb's. The number one complaint is not having enough top end in the straights. You providing the info that you know would change the way people look at the xb's as a track bike. It would really beneficial to everyone.

I agree. I am glad I will be one of the first people to witness it. I personally haven't seen his bike go 160mph yet. I know he has a different motor. And I know the bike is very fast. Pretty soon we will both go to the track. Let it rest till then guys.

Funny thing is.... all the same haters that followed me around in the beginning have moved to rrh481. I wonder were MaBach is??? I bet he shows up eventually. LOL!

Haha ik Jobe I got them off your hand. And your talking about track bikes? Bill Casper raced with a xb12 and did just fine against 600's kept up with them everywhere on the track.

I did great on the short tracks @ Firebird Raceway, no long straits and the XB was really a fun ride and could do just fine. Then again the track we used for Track Days, was less than a mile.

Used the short track mostly, as you can see I4's would eat up the strait but we could do damage under braking and out of the short curves.

Yea ! Funny how that works huh ? Two dudes that hang out together bragging about crap they can't seem to back up with proof and getting called out on it , then putting down anyone that questions it ! [confused]

I've backed up everything I've said, and after I post my vid I'll explain what I did to my bike so I don't know what you mean by I havnt backed up what I said. People doubted that I ran 11.9 in the 1/4 on my 9r and I showed them my slip times. The bikes that were in my garage I fixed up and sold to pay for my buell parts. But I guess I can't really prove that unless you knew me in person and saw all the titles. And now just my top speed witch I'll explain what I all did when I'm done. Still waiting for Michael at ebr to call me up to make my app for them to put a second o2 sensor on my bike so they can do my final dyno tune since I'm running lean in my front cylinder.

I met the dude on this forum only 1-2 months ago. He helped me with my bike for free. Thats pretty noble. I never bragged about my bike. Frankly Walls... I have no idea what your beef with me or rrh481 is. It seems like you just look for any reason to cut a newcomer down. I understand you are wise old man. But some of us are wise in our own way as well.

Sorry that him and I live by each other and I do some work on his bike and he does some work on my bike. It's never a bad idea to exchange knowledge with one another. And him am I have rode together once.

Ya and Jobe doesn't care either. We ride together and hangout all the time. We could care less.

I'm basing my statement off what you posted rrh !
Jobe , I don't like nor do I try to bring newbees down , but when someone boast of certain skills and or certain abilities that sound far fetched just be ready to show some evidence to keep the nay syers at bay ! It's really a simple concept.
If I was bragging to everyone about banging Megan Fox i'm pretty sure i'd need some proof for people to believe it !

Some of the best things come from forums and some of the worst things too. Since we cannot be in the same room or garage or bar together and tyipng on a forum cannot convey expression very well, sometimes people are misunderstood. I really hope that rrh481 and Jobe and the rest of us can get on the same page soon and put all of this behind us and share info and the passion of the bikes we love.
