Buell Viking?

Funny to see this posted here. I was just at Tousley Sports yesterday and saw that bike in person. Out of curiosity, I searched the internet to see what the heck it was and only came up with their sales ads for that bike. I looked at the VIN number and it was not a standard harley vin. It starts with 1VK5XL... I imagine the "VK" stands for Viking, but the only Viking manufacturer I found makes boats. Other than being an ugly color, it is put together pretty well. All the welds look clean and solid and the fabrication quality is nice. There's no turn signals, horn, or hi/lo headlight switch so I don't know how happy the DOT would be.

I am tinkering with a board track replica project and in MN you can make your own bike, have it inspected, come up with a VIN you want and if approved, apply for a MN title. You do need a horn, high/ low beam headlight with high beam indicator, brake and tail lights.

I'm thinking this "Viking Buell" May have been home made (special construction) using a Redneck Engineering Mutant Buell chassis kit like this one.......

I was just there yesterday as well, Its a lot smaller in person. It is very well put together though. I work like a mile away from Tousley.
